The Academic Team would like to invite everyone out to Wendy’s on Tuesday night between 5 and 8pm. The team will get a portion of all the sales, so make sure that you tell the cashier that you are there to support the RCMS Academic Team.
Auditions for the spring musical will be next Tuesday after school. See Ms. Hunt or Ms. Smith for an information sheet and permission form.
Remember that the Cancer Care center at Rockcastle Hospital would like to display some artwork from RCMS students. Students who submit artwork will be in a drawing for a $25 Wal-mart card. Students can see Mrs. Cromer for the necessary registration form and paper.

At the Regional Swim meet, 7th grader Laurel Yates became the first RCMS swimmer to qualify for the state championship. In the finals Laurel finished 2nd in the 100 yard freestyle and the 200 yard with season best times. Laurel also was named to the all-regional team. Emilee Thomas participated as part of the girls 200 yard freestyle team which placed 5th and the 400 yard relay team which also placed 5th. The boys 200 yard medley relay team of Tristan Winstead, Aidan Cain, Reese Sherrow and Dawson Nicely placed 6th in the finals. The 200 yard freestyle team of Tristan Winstead, Zachary Taylor, Reese Sherrow and Dawson Nicely placed 8th in the finals. 8th grader Aidan Cain became the first boy to qualify for the championship final in an individual event in the 100 yard breaststroke. Aidan placed 8th in the final with his fastest time.
